Updated
Privacy, in plain English.
What this site collects, why, and how to make it stop. Short version: very little, never sold, and you can ask me to delete it any time.
Who’s responsible
Warren Manuel, Cape Town, South Africa. Questions or requests go to hello@warrenmanuel.com.
If you send a brief
The form collects your name, email, company or event, and your message. It’s emailed to me, and a backup copy is kept on this site’s server so nothing gets lost if email has a bad day. I use it to reply to you and nothing else: no mailing list, no auto-sequence, never sold or shared.
To stop spam, the site keeps a scrambled (hashed) version of your connection’s IP address to count attempts over the last hour. Older entries are deleted the next time anyone uses the form.
Analytics and cookies
I use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages, episodes and buttons are useful. It sets cookies and records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are, and whether you played a video or tapped a contact link. Google says GA4 doesn’t log or store IP addresses. Advertising features are switched off.
- In the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland: no cookies are set until you choose Accept. Until then, Google receives only anonymous, cookieless signals it uses to estimate visit numbers.
- Everywhere else: analytics is on by default.
- Choose “No thanks”, wherever you are, and Google Analytics stops loading for you altogether, and its cookies are removed.
Change your choice any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
YouTube
Video thumbnails load from YouTube’s image servers. The player itself, from youtube-nocookie.com, only loads when you press play. From then on, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Everything else
Fonts, styles and scripts are served from this site, not third parties. Like every website, the host keeps standard access logs for security and troubleshooting.
Your rights
You can ask what I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@warrenmanuel.com and I’ll sort it out. If you’re not happy with how I handle it, you can complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator, or to the data protection authority where you live.
